Inland Dotterel (Juvenile)

Notwithstanding its name, this Inland Dotterel - normally found in Australia's arid interior - was photographed in seaside dunes habitat on the New South Wales South Coast, where it was associating with numerous Pacific Golden Plovers. Individuals of the species are occasionally reported as rare vagrants to coastal Australia.
