Eastern Curlew (Numenius madagascariensis)

A migratory shorebird species in Australia, Eastern Curlew numbers have crashed over recent years along with those of other migratory waders. The species is now listed as Critically Endangered. Sadly, this one-legged individual has fallen victim to what appears to be fishing line, still wrapped around its legs.
